# Cookie notice

## Always on

These keep Audo working, so they don't need consent:

| Name | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| `audo.session_token` | Keeps you signed in | 30 days |
| `audo_v` | A random ID that counts free uses of each tool, and nothing else | 1 year |

Your answer to the cookie banner, and whether you closed the note about Audo Studio, are saved in your browser's storage, not in cookies.

## Analytics

Google Analytics and PostHog show us how people use the site, such as how many people go from a tool page to a result. They're run by Google and PostHog, in the United States. In the EU and the UK, they load only after you accept them. Elsewhere, they load unless your browser blocks them.

| Name | Set by | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| `_ga`, `_ga_*` | Google Analytics | 2 years |
| `ph_*_posthog` | PostHog | 1 year |

Addresses are sent without their query strings, and pages with private links, such as the upload page, send nothing.
