Memos, calls, and lectures

Audo's voice cleaner accepts WAV, MP3, M4A, AAC, FLAC, OGG, Opus, WebM, AIFF audio and MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI video, up to 10 GB with no account, and the first minute of every file is free, 3 times a day, without signing up. The first minute of a memo is usually clean in about 11 seconds, and a 22-minute recording in about 45 seconds. If the voice already sounds fine and only the background is noisy, Remove noise keeps it exactly as recorded.

Each kind of speech recording goes wrong its own way. A voice memo has the phone close, but the room's echo and noise around it. Phone lines carry only a narrow slice of the voice, roughly 300 to 3,400 Hz, so calls sound thin. A lecture recorded from the back of the room is distant and echoey, and meetings bring laptop mics, fans, and keyboards. The example above is a real classroom.

The cleaner gives each voice a fuller, closer sound and removes what's around it. An M4A, MP3, WAV, or FLAC comes back in the same format, ready for Transcribe to turn into text, or for Remove silence to shorten the long pauses. Signed in, files can run up to 10 hours, long enough for a full lecture or meeting.

Questions

Is there a free AI voice cleaner?

Yes. Audo's AI voice cleaner cleans the first minute of each recording free, 3 times a day, with no sign-up. Past that, you pay $0.05 a minute ($3.00 an hour) with no subscription — see pricing.

How do I clean up a voice recording?

Add it at the top of this page, pick a strength, and download the clear version. Noise and echo go, and the speech is easier to follow.

What app can I use to clean up my voice recordings?

None is needed: this page works in your phone's browser, on iPhone or Android. iPhone voice memos are M4A files, and the clean one comes back as an M4A too.

Can it fix a phone call recording?

Yes. It restores a fuller voice from the thin, muffled sound of a phone line, and clears the line's noise.

Does it work on Zoom recordings?

Yes. Zoom saves an audio-only .m4a next to its video recording. Add either one. For the words too, see Transcript from a Zoom recording.

Can it clean a lecture recording?

Yes. It brings a distant, echoey speaker closer and clears the room's noise, which makes a lecture easier to follow and to transcribe.

Does it work with more than one speaker?

Yes. Every voice in the recording is cleaned, from a two-person call to a whole meeting.

Can AI clean up a voice recording?

Yes. Audo's voice cleaner rebuilds each voice instead of only filtering it, which is how it fixes thin and distant speech. At Full, a voice can come out slightly changed; slide Strength toward Subtle to blend your original recording back in.
